Clarity over decoration
A curated gallery of molecular visualization styles. Find a look, copy the PyMOL code, and bring it to your own structure.
A few visual directions to set the tone: publication clarity, binding-site focus, and a little cinematic drama.

Structure as sculpture
Switch the visual treatment while keeping the molecular example consistent. The structure stays; the story changes.
Browse reusable presets for protein structure, ligand emphasis, binding-site analysis, and scientific figures.
Find a visual treatment that suits the scientific point you want to communicate.
Copy the plain PyMOL commands. Adjust the ligand or residue selection if your structure needs it.
Paste into PyMOL, orient your molecule, and render a figure for your paper, thesis, or talk.
The molecule is the artwork.
The script is the recipe.
PyMOL Art Gallery is a visual inspiration gallery and styling cookbook. The browser previews are illustrative 3D views; the copied scripts are the actual PyMOL commands. Presets use common selections where practical, and comments point out the parts you may want to adapt.
Send a PyMOL visualization recipe to the gallery. Keep it focused: a useful style, a short explanation, and the commands someone else can copy and adapt.
PyMOL Art Gallery grew from an interest in the space between pharmacy, structural biology, computational drug discovery, and scientific software — where the way a result is visualized can shape how easily it is understood.
My work spans molecular docking, molecular dynamics, DFT, drug repurposing, and small tools built for pharmacists and researchers.
Find a style. Copy the script. Render your science.
Paste into the PyMOL command line or run as a .pml script. Selections such as
organic may need adjusting for your structure. Browser preview is not a PyMOL render.
Create a portable style configuration. The gallery stays static: submissions are sent as a GitHub Issue and the JSON file can be attached to it.
The browser does not execute the submitted PyMOL code. A maintainer can review the commands before adding a style to the curated collection.
